SAP FICO - Senior Consultant/Consulting Lead

A bit about the role

We’re growing our SAP Finance practice and are hiring SAP FICO consultants at two levels: Senior Consultant and Consulting Lead. You’ll deliver SAP S/4HANA Finance solutions for our clients across on-premise and cloud landscapes, working closely with finance teams to turn their requirements into well-designed, well-configured SAP solutions.

At Senior Consultant level, you’ll own defined areas of the finance design and build, from workshop to go-live. At Consulting Lead level, you’ll lead the FICO workstream on client projects, taking accountability for the finance design, guiding the team and contributing to pre-sales.

What you’ll be doing

At both levels, you’ll:

• Deliver SAP FI/CO across full lifecycle implementations, rollouts, S/4HANA conversions and support engagements
• Configure and test finance processes across GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, bank accounting and controlling
• Run requirements, Fit-to-Standard and design workshops with finance process owners and key users
• Write clear functional specifications and work with developers on reports, interfaces and enhancements
• Work with consultants in other modules (MM, SD, PS) to make sure finance integration points work end to end
• Support testing, data migration, cutover, training and hypercare
• Share knowledge, contribute to training materials and support colleagues earlier in their careers

At Consulting Lead level, you’ll also:

• Lead the FICO workstream, planning activities, allocating tasks and tracking progress against the project plan
• Own the finance design for your workstream and quality-assure configuration, specifications and test outcomes
• Act as the escalation point for complex finance issues on your projects
• Contribute finance solution input, estimates, demos and presentations to pre-sales opportunities
• Mentor and develop consultants in your team and help build reusable templates and assets for the practice

What we’re looking for

Essential experience

• Solid SAP FICO consulting experience, including full lifecycle implementation experience
• Strong hands-on configuration skills across FI (GL, AP, AR, AA, bank accounting) and CO (CCA, PCA, internal orders)
• Hands-on S/4HANA Finance experience
• Good understanding of finance integration with logistics modules (MM, SD)
• Sound understanding of finance and accounting processes, including period-end close
• Confidence running workshops and explaining SAP solutions to finance users
• Strong communication skills and a structured, quality-focused approach

For Consulting Lead level, we’d also expect:

• Proven experience leading a finance workstream or acting as FICO lead on a project
• Experience of multiple full lifecycle implementations, including S/4HANA implementation or conversion
• Experience contributing to pre-sales and guiding other consultants

Desirable experience

• Experience with product costing, CO-PA/Margin Analysis or Project Systems
• Knowledge of SAP Fiori apps for Finance and embedded analytics
• Exposure to SAP Activate methodology and public or private cloud S/4HANA
• An accounting qualification (part or fully qualified, e.g. CIMA, ACCA) or finance background
• Experience in a consulting or multi-client environment
