CNC Machinist / Miller Composites (Fanuc) | Southampton | Permanent
A cutting-edge engineering and manufacturing business in Southampton, building high-performance carbon-fibre and composite components for elite motorsport and marine applications, is looking for a skilled CNC Miller / Machinist to join its team. This is a rare chance to machine advanced composite parts at the very top end of the sport genuinely challenging, high-precision work you won't find on a standard shop floor.
The role:
- Setting, operating and programming CNC milling machines on Fanuc controls
- Composite / carbon-fibre machining to the tightest tolerances
- Programming in hyperMILL (CAM)
- Working from engineering drawings on complex, high-value components
- First-off and in-process inspection
We're looking for someone with:
- CNC milling experience on Fanuc controls essential
- Composite / carbon-fibre machining experience essential
- hyperMILL CAM programming experience
- Mazak and CMS machine experience an advantage
- Ability to read complex engineering drawings and hold tight tolerances
- A background in aerospace, motorsport, marine or high-spec precision manufacturing
