A well-established precision engineering manufacturer in Fareham is looking to add skilled CNC Sliding Head Turner Setter/Operators to its machining team, following continued growth. The company produces high-specification precision components for the aerospace, defence, nuclear, space and oil & gas sectors, focusing on small-batch, tight-tolerance, high-variety work.
The role:
- Setting and operating CNC sliding head lathes (Citizen experience highly desirable)
- Working on Fanuc controls to tight tolerances, right first time
- Bar-fed production of precision components across a range of exotic and standard materials
- First-off and in-process inspection using standard measuring equipment
- Tooling, offset adjustment and maintaining quality throughout the run
We're looking for someone with:
- Proven CNC sliding head (Swiss-type) turning experience (Citizen highly preferred)
- Confidence on Fanuc controls
- Ability to read engineering drawings and hold tight tolerances
- A background in precision, subcontract or high-spec manufacturing
- Time-served or equivalent hands-on experience
