An established precision engineering business in Hyde, Cheshire is looking for a skilled, time-served CNC Turner to join its machining team. The company specialises in complex, high-value, small-batch precision components; this is genuine skilled turning, not mass production.
The role:
- Setting, operating and programming CNC turning centres on Fanuc controls
- Machining complex, high-value components in small batches to tight tolerances
- Working from engineering drawings, first-off and in-process inspection
- Vertical boring experience (Toshiba or similar) an advantage
- Tooling, offsets and maintaining quality throughout the run
We're looking for someone with:
- Fully time-served CNC turning experience - genuine hands-on background
- Confidence programming, setting and operating on Fanuc
- A track record on complex, small-batch, high-value work rather than high-volume production
- Ability to read engineering drawings and hold tight tolerances
- Bearing, borer or similar precision component experience welcomed
