CNC Turner — Setter/Operator (Stockport) Location: Stockport, Cheshire Job type: Permanent, full-time Salary: £17-£18 a hour Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm (39 hours/week) The opportunity ABS Talent is recruiting a CNC Turner (Setter/Operator) on behalf of a well-established engineering and manufacturing company in Stockport. The business designs and manufactures specialist products for the logistics and supply-chain sector, with a long-standing reputation for engineering excellence — and they’re looking to add a skilled turner to their team. This is a permanent, day-shift role with an early finish and a Monday-to-Friday pattern — no weekends as standard. The role * Setting and operating CNC turning machines * Producing precision components to engineering drawings and tight tolerances * Tooling selection, offsets and in-process checks * Quality inspection of your own work to required standards * Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area About you * Experience as a CNC Turner — Setter/Operator * Mazak controls preferred — but experience on other controls is welcome (Fanuc, Siemens, etc.) * Able to read and interpret engineering drawings * Comfortable working to tight tolerances * Reliable, quality-focused and a good team player Hours & overtime * Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm (39 hours/week) * Overtime paid at time and a half What’s on offer * Permanent, day-shift role with an established Stockport manufacturer * Early daily finish (3:30pm) and a Monday-to-Friday week — no weekends as standard * A long-established business with a strong reputation in its sector * £17-£18 a hour Interested?
