The Company
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly regarded sheet metal fabrication business based in Ashford, Kent, with over 60 years of trading history. They produce a wide range of precision fabricated products for commercial clients and are known for their quality workmanship and long-standing customer relationships. Due to continued demand, they are looking for an experienced Sheet Metal Fabricator to join their team on a permanent basis.
The Role
- Fabrication of sheet metal components and assemblies to engineering drawings and specifications
- Working with a range of materials including mild steel, aluminium, and stainless steel
- Operating press brakes, guillotines, folder/bending equipment, and associated workshop machinery
- MIG and TIG welding as required
- Pipe and tube bending
- Drilling, grinding, and general finishing work
- Maintaining quality standards throughout production
- Working safely and adhering to all health and safety procedures
The Candidate
- Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Fabricator — essential
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Competent across a range of fabrication processes — bending, folding, cutting, welding
- Experience with stainless steel fabrication is advantageous
- Reliable, quality-focused, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Local to the Ashford area or able to commute
Hours & Pay
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 4:30pm
- Friday: 8:00am – 4:00pm
- 37.5 hours per week contracted
- Overtime available with financial incentive
