We are recruiting on behalf of a world-class aerospace filtration manufacturer based in Segensworth, Hampshire. A market leader in their field, they are looking for a talented Manufacturing Engineer to join their Production team and play a key role in delivering manufacturing excellence, continuous improvement, and innovative engineering solutions.
Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will be involved across the full manufacturing lifecycle — from production support and process development through to new product introduction and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring manufacturing readiness across product lines and supporting production teams with training and technical expertise
- Designing tooling solutions to minimise downtime and leading root cause investigations to improve first pass yield
- Developing safe, efficient, and repeatable manufacturing processes using DOE, PFMEA, SPC, and control plans
- Validating new processes and leading FAT/SAT activities
- Championing Design for Manufacture (DfM) principles and supporting NPI activities through prototype builds and design reviews
- Driving Lean and Kaizen initiatives to deliver measurable improvements in cost, quality, and delivery
- Promoting a safety-first culture and ensuring all processes meet HSE and regulatory standards
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Engineering
- 2–5 years' experience in manufacturing engineering
- Experience in aerospace or similar high-mix, low-volume environments
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, CAD, FMEA, and 8D problem solving
- Familiarity with metal fabrication and surface treatments
- Excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills
Desirable:
- Lean / Six Sigma knowledge
- SAP or ERP experience
- CNC or machining workshop experience
