The Company
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established precision engineering business in the Hyde area. Due to continued demand, they are looking for an experienced CNC Turner to join their team on a permanent basis.
The Role
- Setting and operating CNC lathes to produce precision-engineered components
- Programming and operating machines using Siemens and Fanuc controls
- Operating large vertical lathes for heavy/large-diameter component work
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings to tight tolerances
- First-off inspection and in-process quality checks
- Carrying out routine machine maintenance and tool changes
- Working to production schedules and deadlines
The Candidate
- Proven experience as a CNC Turner – essential
- Proficient on both Siemens and Fanuc controls
- Experience on large vertical lathes is highly desirable
- Able to read and work to engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and quality-focused
- Reliable and able to work in a fast-paced production environment
Hours & Pay
- 35 hours per week contracted
- All hours beyond 35 paid at time and a half
- Sunday working paid at double time
- Overtime is regularly available – ideal for those looking to boost earnings
