An established, well-respected engineering manufacturer in Leeds supplying safety-critical components to the defence, rail, nuclear and energy sectors is looking for a skilled CNC Miller to join its machining team. Genuinely varied, high-integrity work to tight tolerances on a business with real heritage and stability.
The role:
- Programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines 3-axis XYZ and 4-axis Fanuc / Heidenhain controls
- Machining precision components to tight tolerances, right first time
- Working from engineering drawings, first-off and in-process inspection
- Tooling, offsets and maintaining quality throughout the run
We’re looking for someone with:
- Proven CNC milling experience setting and operating
- Programming capability preferred (more versatile), though strong setter/operators will be considered
- Fanuc and/or Heidenhain controls experience
- Ability to read engineering drawings and hold tight tolerances
- A background in precision or subcontract manufacturing
