The opportunity
ABS Talent is recruiting a Painter / Powder Coater on behalf of a well-established engineering and manufacturing client in Ashford. This is a varied, hands-on role for someone who takes pride in a quality finish — spray painting and powder coating, alongside the full preparation and fitting side of the work.
The role
- Spray painting and powder coating components to a high-quality finish
- Preparing surfaces and components ready for coating
- Removing hinges and components from doors ahead of finishing
- Re-fitting hinges, components and doors accurately after coating
- Packaging finished doors ready for dispatch
- Maintaining quality standards and a clean, safe work area
About you
- Experience in spray painting and/or powder coating
- Hands-on and practical — comfortable with the fitting and assembly side (hinges, components, door fitting)
- Good attention to detail and pride in a quality finish
- Willing to learn and develop across the full process
- Reliable, motivated and a good team player
