We are partnering exclusively with a leading precision engineering business, operating at the highest end of the market, to place experienced CNC Millers into a high-spec facility. The work is genuinely interesting, the machines are world‑class, and the standards are uncompromising. This is not a run‑of‑the‑mill production role. You will be working on complex, high‑value components—including aerospace‑grade parts machined from titanium, aluminium, and Inconel—where your expertise will be put to real use.
What you'll be doing:
- Setting and operating CNC milling machines to produce complex, tight‑tolerance components
- Working with high‑grade materials such as titanium, aluminium, and Inconel
- Machining aerospace‑grade components on modern platforms including Correa, Hedelius, and DMU 5‑axis mills
- Using advanced tooling and measurement systems including Renishaw probing
- Reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings to exacting standards
- Taking ownership of quality at every stage—first‑off inspection, in‑process checking, and final sign‑off
- Contributing to a culture of precision, continuous improvement, and professional excellence
What we're looking for:
- Proven experience setting and operating CNC milling machines—ideally 5 years or more, though strong candidates with less will be considered
- 5‑axis experience is highly desirable; exceptional 3‑axis candidates will also be assessed
- Comfortable with leading CNC controls—Heidenhain, Siemens, or Mazatrol preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work to tight tolerances on complex engineering components
- Capable of working independently and making sound judgments on the shop floor
- Must be located within a 30–40 minute commute of the site (location disclosed upon application)
- Must be able to pass a DBS check and provide satisfactory references prior to start
Why this role stands out:
- Work on genuinely complex, high‑value engineering projects—not repetitive volume production
- Access to premium CNC machinery and advanced measurement systems used in aerospace supply chains
- A stable, well‑established business with a strong order book and long‑term career potential
- Overtime paid at 1.5x your hourly rate—your extra hours are properly rewarded
- Sunday work paid at double your hourly rate—one of the best weekend premiums in the sector
- A working environment that respects the craft—quality over quantity, every time
