The Opportunity
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established food manufacturing business in Slough. Due to continued operational demand, they are looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join their night shift team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a multi-skilled engineer who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and wants the stability of a long-term role with a reputable employer.
The Role
- Carrying out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across the site
- Minimising downtime by diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical faults efficiently
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives on site
- Working closely with production teams to ensure maximum plant availability
- Completing accurate maintenance records and documentation
The Candidate
- Multi-skilled maintenance engineer with mechanical and electrical experience
- Background in food manufacturing, FMCG, or a similar fast-paced production environment
- Electrical bias is advantageous
- PLC experience desirable Siemens an advantage
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability
- Comfortable working a 4 on / 4 off night shift pattern
