Global Supply Manager, Raw Materials — Apple
Apple is seeking a Global Sourcing & Supply Manager (GSSM) to assist with strategic planning, long-term deal structuring, and negotiations. This position requires the ability to work with procurement, engineering, finance, and legal teams, as well as third parties such as foundries and suppliers. Strong quantitative and analytical skills, critical thinking, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines are essential. The Global Sourcing & Supply Management team drives centralized capacity planning for all components used across Apple products and supports long‑term strategic deals and supplier relationships.
Responsibilities
- Develop a nuanced understanding of the commodity landscape to forecast industry trends and gauge emerging competitive forces.
- Work with suppliers to negotiate optimal terms for sourcing; balance cost, volume, and quality to meet Apple’s performance criteria and secure long-term supply continuity.
- Identify changes in buyer and supplier power and use industry dynamics to Apple’s advantage.
- Perform supplier financial research, spend analysis, and ad-hoc financial analysis for strategic procurement deals.
- Collaborate across the Apple organization to ensure business objectives are met and transform the supply chain to support environmental initiatives.
- Rapidly synthesize and communicate findings to senior leaders and identify potential supply issues that could affect product strategy.
- Optimize supply chain performance through cost and capacity scenario analysis and benchmarking.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of value-added manufacturing processes, costs, and market intelligence to influence future product roadmaps and sourcing decisions.
- Provide overall program management support and contribute to ongoing development of processes, templates, escalation procedures, and reporting.
Qualifications
- BA/BS degree plus 8+ years of work experience; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
- Tenacity, passion, and demonstrated skill in negotiations; end-to-end ownership of contract negotiations for both commercial and legal aspects.
- Experience in supplier management and operations with the ability to solve complex supply chain issues.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; superb communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build, grow, and develop cross-functional relationships to influence and drive projects.
- Ability to operate independently; capable of quick decision-making with incomplete information (80% information).
- Direct experience in long-term capacity planning is a plus.
- Knowledge of materials or metal markets is a plus.
- Data management and visualization skills are a plus.
Education & Experience
BA/BS degree and 8+ years of work experience. Master’s degree or MBA preferred.

Pay & Benefits
Base pay range for this role is between $160,700 and $241,500 and varies by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple offers comprehensive benefits including medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, stock programs, employee stock purchase plan, and various education and relocation opportunities. Eligibility for bonuses or commissions and other terms may apply.
