Introduction: Boeing Commercial Aviation Services Europe Limited (BCASEL) is an EASA and UK CAA approved Maintenance Repair Organisation with approval to provide Line & Base Maintenance services on 737 NG/Max 777 and 787 aircraft. Due to continued expansion we are looking for B1 and B2 Licensed Aircraft Engineers to join our organisation. Prospective candidates are required to hold a valid UK CAA Category B1 or B2 Part-66 Licence preferably with 737 NG type rating although candidates with non-Boeing type ratings (Airbus Gulfstream or Embraer etc.) will be considered. Additional training on Boeing specific aircraft types will be provided for the right candidate.
The B1 Licensed Aircraft Engineer will have responsibility for the supervision of Mechanics and inspection and certification of scheduled maintenance tasks defect rectification modifications structural repairs and functional tests on Airframe Engine and Electrical systems. They will support the Lead Engineer and allocate tasks to ensure the daily workload is completed and the production plan remains on schedule. The B2 Licensed Aircraft Engineer will have responsibility for the supervision of Mechanics and inspection and certification of scheduled maintenance tasks defect rectification modifications repairs and functional tests on Avionic and Electrical systems. They will support the Lead Engineer and allocate tasks to ensure the daily workload is completed and the production plan remains on schedule.
These roles are based at the London Gatwick Hangar facility working a rotational shift pattern. A degree of flexibility is expected and shift patterns will vary as required in order to support business needs and operational requirements. The role will report to the Maintenance Manager - Production.
Responsibilities are based on role and include leadership of technicians, inspection and certification, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting daily operations at London Gatwick.

1. B1 Licensed Aircraft Engineers responsibilities
- Supervise a team of Mechanics performing Base Maintenance on customer aircraft.
- Inspection and certification of scheduled maintenance tasks, defect rectification, modifications, structural repairs and functional tests on Airframe Engine and Electrical systems.
- Complete all assigned work in a timely manner to optimise aircraft downtime.
- Ensure aircraft technical log book maintenance documentation, job cards, work packages and zonal handovers are completed accurately and within prescribed timescales.
- Maintain a high standard of husbandry and cleanliness within assigned work areas.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company processes and procedures.
- Promote a just culture and report all incidents and occurrences in the Boeing Safety Management System.
- Highlight any technical issues, discrepancies or other issues to the Lead Engineer.
- Support the Lead Engineer with the day to day running of their allocated zone and deputise during periods of absence.
- Actively support, promote and contribute to continuous improvement ideas and lean principles.
- Assist the management team in the day to day running of the London Gatwick Operation.
- Undertake any reasonable activities as required including working away from London Gatwick.
2. B2 Licensed Aircraft Engineers responsibilities

Required Qualifications:
- Hold a valid UK CAA Category B1 or B2 Part-66 Aircraft Maintenance Licence.
- Type rating on 737 NG preferable although candidates with non-Boeing type ratings (Airbus Gulfstream or Embraer etc.) will be considered.
Desired Experience:
- Must have a minimum of 1 year exercising certification privileges with experience working in a Line or Base Maintenance environment.
- Demonstrate 6 months recent maintenance experience on type in a consecutive 2 year period and ability to hold and maintain appropriate company authorisations specific to role.
- Comprehensive understanding of Part-145 regulations.
- Previous experience of using AMOS or other Maintenance Management Systems.
- Excellent communication skills.

- Flexible worker who is prepared to adjust working hours to meet operational demands.
- Be a team player who will grasp opportunities to exceed the expectations of internal and external customers.
- Proficiency in using Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint and the ability to learn in house systems.
