Are you passionate about helping people find a home that better meets their needs? Do you enjoy building relationships, coordinating processes, and delivering excellent customer service? If so, we'd love to hear from you. We're looking for a Home Connections Coordinator to join our friendly and supportive Home Connections Team in Yeovil for a 12 month fixed term contract. This is a varied and rewarding role where you'll play a key part in helping our customers move home through our Mutual Exchange service.
What you'll be doing:
- Support and coordinate Mutual Exchange applications from start to finish
- Help customers understand the process and provide advice and guidance throughout
- Liaise with internal teams and external landlords to ensure all checks and approvals are completed on time
- Maintain accurate records and monitor cases to meet performance targets
- Assist with lettings activities and help maximise occupancy across our housing stock
- Build positive relationships with customers, delivering a responsive and supportive service both over the phone and face to face
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across Housing, Empty Homes, and Independent Living teams to achieve the best outcomes for our customers
What you’ll need:
- Experience in housing, lettings, allocations, mutual exchange, or a similar customer-focused role
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with a wide range of people
- A keen eye for detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Confidence using IT systems, including Microsoft Office applications
- A positive, collaborative approach and a genuine desire to help customers
