Are you looking to start or grow your career in finance? Join our Finance Service Charge team and you’ll learn how we deliver an accurate, reliable service for our customers and colleagues. This is a great opportunity to build practical experience, develop your confidence and make a real contribution from day one.
We’ll support you with a structured development pathway, giving you the knowledge and skills to provide effective cover across key activities when demand increases. As your experience grows, you’ll gain a broader understanding of service charge finance and prepare for future progression within the team.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll work alongside our Finance Assistants to learn key processes and help provide cover during busy periods. By shadowing Finance Officers, you’ll build an understanding of the end-to-end service charge process and how the team works together to deliver a dependable service.
You’ll maintain property charge data in our Housing Management System, process journals and help review scheme costs in the Finance System. You’ll also process management company documentation accurately and on time, code invoices in line with our financial procedures, and learn scheduled rota-based tasks.
You’ll be ready to support the wider team with administrative and operational work when needed, as well as other duties that are appropriate to the role and level of responsibility. We’re one team, so you’ll share what you learn, ask questions and take ownership of delivering work to a high standard.
You'll be working from our Eastleigh office a minimum of three days per week to connect and collaborate with colleagues and the other two days can be worked from at a place of your choosing whether that's at another of our offices, a cafe or at home.
What we’re looking for
You’ll have basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word, and you’ll be comfortable using your own initiative. Clear written and verbal communication is important, along with a commitment to excellent customer service. Just as importantly, you’ll bring a positive approach and show our values and behaviours in the way you work: staying curious, working together, owning your contribution openly, embracing opportunities to improve and looking for ways to make a difference.
Why join us?
At Abri, every role has the power to make a difference. You’ll join a supportive team where you can learn, grow and build a rewarding career while helping us deliver the reliable services our customers depend on. If you’re organised, eager to develop and ready to achieve together, this could be the start of something brilliant. Bring your curiosity, your commitment and your ambition — apply today and help us make a difference for our customers and communities.
We’ll review and interview suitable candidates as they apply. If we receive enough applications, we'll close the advert early so be sure to apply today so you don’t miss out!

We believe everyone has the right to a good quality safe, warm and sustainable home in a community where they can belong, grow and thrive. What does that look like in real terms?
We’re investing £689m over the next ten years in our existing homes to improve building safety and make them more energy efficient.
- We’re delivering 10,000 homes by 2030, ensuring affordable housing is built where it’s needed most
- We’re investing in our communities, to address local issues and create opportunities for everyone
As we grow, we’re re-establishing our strong local presence to provide a really good service.
