This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, with team days in our Bracknell office every
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
. These office days are a great opportunity to collaborate with colleagues, share ideas, develop your skills, and be part of a supportive and close-knit team.
As a Home Connections Officer, you'll support customers through one of the most important moments in their lives, finding a new home.
You'll manage the allocations and lettings process, working closely with Local Authorities, internal transfer applicants, and partner organisations to ensure homes are allocated fairly, efficiently, and to those who need them most.
This is a role where excellent organisation and attention to detail are just as important as empathy and customer care.
Every application you assess and every customer you support contributes directly to creating positive outcomes for individuals and families.
- What you'll be doing
- Delivering a customer-focused allocations and lettings service.
- Working closely with Local Authorities and internal waiting lists to secure nominations and allocate homes.
- Assessing and verifying applications, ensuring accuracy and compliance while meeting key performance targets.
- Maintaining high-quality records and carrying out administrative tasks with exceptional attention to detail.
- Supporting customers sensitively and professionally, particularly those who may be vulnerable or facing challenging circumstances.
- Liaising with partner agencies to gather information and support risk assessments where required.
- Building positive relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders to achieve the best outcomes for customers.
What you’ll need
- Experience in a housing, lettings, allocations, customer service, or administration role.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload.
- Excellent attention to detail and confidence handling data and processes accurately.
- Great communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with a range of stakeholders.
