We are delighted to be recruiting for a new Building Safety Planner to work from our Yeovil office on a permanent basis. We're looking for a highly organised, customer-focused person to support our Building Safety Managers and ensure our buildings remain safe, compliant and well-managed. Your main purpose will be to support Abri Group in delivering its duties as defined by the Building Safety Act 2022 and the Fire Safety (Residential Evacuation Plans) (England) Regulations 2025 to help residents who would have difficulty evacuating in the event of a fire.
The role involves scheduling building‑safety inspections and visits, booking appointments, keeping customers updated and providing an excellent service, especially where legal implications may arise. Part of this role is carrying out Residential Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans (RPEEPROMS) with residents in their homes across Abri, with a focus within London.
Responsibilities- Support Building Safety Managers in delivering duties under the Building Safety Act 2022 and the Fire Safety (Residential Evacuation Plans) (England) Regulations 2025.
- Schedule building‑safety inspections and visits, book appointments and keep customers updated.
- Carry out Residential Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans (RPEEPROMS) with residents in their homes.
- Provide excellent customer service and manage any legal implications related to building safety.
- Demonstrable knowledge of building and fire‑safety legislation.
- Excellent communication and strong customer‑service skills.
- Track record of building trusted relationships with stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Experience coordinating workloads in a busy environment, diary/appointment coordination, and competency with Microsoft programs and database systems.
