Role Overview: External Contracts Manager in Property Care – Customer Safety team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage external contracts and contractors for fire safety equipment in communal blocks.
  • Specify, schedule, and deliver inspection and servicing programmes.
  • Procure work in accordance with tendering, budgetary, and contractual regulations.
  • Identify and manage maintenance work to align with regulatory and statutory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and CDM requirements and maintain customer engagement, including Section 20 consultation.
  • Provide flexible onsite support across the geography, travelling to sites and contractor meetings, with regular office days.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience in the Housing Association environment.
  • Contract management experience with a strong ability to build relationships with partner providers.
  • Ability to challenge and drive change to improve service delivery.
  • Knowledge of inspection, servicing, and maintenance programme requirements and procurement processes.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and statutory requirements related to fire safety and building maintenance.

Work Conditions:

  • Must live within Abri’s geography and be able to commute to one of the primary offices (Eastleigh, Bracknell, Yeovil, or London).
  • Travel across the geography to sites and contractor meetings as required.
