We're looking for an External Contracts Manager to join our Property Care - Customer Safety team, where you'll be managing external contracts and contractors such as active fire safety equipment (fire alarms, sprinklers, AOV’s etc) in our communal blocks, supporting Abri’s objective of providing safe homes to our customers.

With experience of the Housing Association environment, you'll have a pivotal role in ensuring inspection, servicing and maintenance programmes are delivered in line with financial, contractual, and quality expectations. With the ability to forge strong relationships with our partner providers and the confidence to challenge and push change, you will be at the forefront of driving improvement in the delivery of our services.

Drawing on your contract management experience, you’ll be expected to specify, schedule, and deliver inspection and servicing programmes. You’ll also procure work in accordance with tendering, budgetary, and contractual regulations. In addition, you’ll identify and manage maintenance work to ensure it aligns with regulatory and statutory requirements.

Ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety and CDM (Construction Design and Management) requirements is essential, as is maintaining relevant customer engagement at all stages of projects, including Section 20 consultation.

You need to be flexible in this role, able to travel across our whole geography, to sites and contractor meetings, with regular office days to collaborate with colleagues. You should live within Abri’s geography and be able to commute to one of our primary offices in either Eastleigh (SO50 6AD), Bracknell (RG12 1RF), Yeovil (BA22 8WN) or London (W10 5BN).
