We're delighted to be recruiting for a Homeowner Services Officer to join our exciting Specialist Residential Services team, based from our Eastleigh office on a permanent basis. Your main purpose will be to manage a portfolio of leasehold, freehold and shared ownership properties, taking full responsibility for leasehold management and providing specialist advice to our customers both internally and externally.
You will confidently lead on the scrutinising and management of service charge enquiries, investigating and remedying lease breaches, handling lease extension claims alongside our legal teams and acting as a point of contact for other lease specific enquiries and processes.
Knowledge, skills and experience required:
- This role requires you to have access to your own vehicle and a full UK driving licence.
- You’ll be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience in both leasehold and shared ownership products, together with an understanding of the legislation affecting these customers (in particular the Commonhold and Leasehold Reform Act 2002, Landlord and Tenant Act and Building Safety Act 2022).
- You’ll have demonstrable knowledge and experience of applying Leasehold law relating to assignments, consents, enfranchisement, lease extensions, breach of covenants and service charges.
- You’ll need to be able to deal with difficult, sensitive and challenging behaviour and situations in a calm and professional manner, whilst using your initiative to problem solve.
