About the role
Aberdeen’s HR Systems Squad sits within the Corporate Technology Office, responsible for managing Aberdeen\’s core HR systems with Workday as its strategic tool of choice. Aberdeen is live with Workday Core HCM, Recruitment, Payroll, Extend, Talent and Help. We have an exciting roadmap to enhance our systems architecture over the next 3 years and improve our ways of working.
The Senior HRIS Analyst is an expert within the HR Systems Team, responsible for configuring, developing, and maintaining Aberdeen\’s Workday infrastructure. This role involves working closely with HR, Technology, and other functional areas dependent on HR data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Product Owner to deliver a backlog of all priorities.
- Lead the systems aspects of core projects involving scoping, design, delivery, and maintenance of Workday changes and configuration.
- Provide expertise on Workday modules such as HCM, compensation, advanced compensation, absence, and recruiting.
- Proactively suggest and lead system improvements based on business requirements, including process configuration, security setup, and testing.
- Stay updated on new functionalities and identify enhancements to current systems.
- Engage within the Workday ecosystem, connecting with other users.
- Share best practices, system enhancements, and reporting insights with HR and wider teams.
- Manage complex employee and manager requests via tiered HR support (Workday Help).
- Ensure adherence to HR and IT systems governance and change management.
About The Candidate
- Extensive experience working within the Workday ecosystem, with significant exposure to configuring core modules.
- Experience managing system requirements for projects like the annual compensation review, with expert knowledge of Advanced Compensation and relevant certifications.
- Strong focus on continuous improvement, detail-oriented, capable of working independently and with stakeholders, committed to excellent service.
- Proven ability to configure, maintain, and enhance Workday processes, including compensation modules.
- Completed Workday training with extensive practical application, covering core HCM, Compensation, Absence, and Recruiting.
- Knowledge of Extend, integrations, and reporting is advantageous.
- Effective communicator with non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements and identify solutions.
