ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

Aberdeen comprises three businesses, interactive investor (ii), Investments, and Adviser, each of which focuses on meeting and adapting to our clients' evolving needs:

  • Interactive investor, the UK's second largest direct-to-consumer investment platform, enables individuals in the UK to plan, save, and invest in the way that works for them.
  • Our Adviser business provides financial planning solutions and technology for UK financial advisers, enabling them to create value for their customers.
  • Our Investments business is a specialist asset manager that focuses on areas where we have both strength and scale to capitalise on the key themes shaping the market, through either public markets or alternative asset classes.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to join our Adviser team in Edinburgh on a permanent basis at Level 4. This is a strategic role responsible for shaping and delivering platform product, investment and advice propositions that transform how financial planning professionals interact with our platform. You will lead proposition development from discovery through to launch, balancing innovation, customer needs, regulatory requirements and commercial outcomes. The role offers the opportunity to influence the Aberdeen Adviser vision and strategy while working with senior stakeholders across the business. Through this position, you can invest in your tomorrow by helping define the future of adviser experiences and customer outcomes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define and drive platform product and investment strategy, aligning innovation, usability and accessibility with business objectives.
  • Conduct market research, customer discovery and user testing to identify opportunities and improve adviser propositions.
  • Design and deliver new and enhanced adviser propositions from concept through to implementation and distribution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop impactful solutions that improve adviser engagement and customer outcomes.
  • Communicate proposition vision, progress and outcomes to senior stakeholders and influence strategic decision-making.
  • Monitor proposition performance, regulatory developments and market trends to continuously enhance offerings.

ABOUT THE CANDIDATE

Essential criteria:

  • Proven experience in proposition, product or platform roles within financial services.
  • Strong understanding of adviser platforms, pensions and investment solutions.

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience developing customer-centric solutions using data, insight, user research and feedback.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex requirements into clear, deliverable propositions.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across diverse business areas.
  • Strategic and commercial mindset with a focus on execution and measurable outcomes.
