Overview
The job revolves around helping clients with their immediate needs such as dressing and maintaining their hygiene, as well as helping them with basic day-to-day or administrative tasks like paying bills. The Care Assistant role also includes getting to know clients personally and providing them with companionship and emotional support, contributing positively to wellbeing. The Care Assistant can also extend to helping clients to take part in leisure activities, such as going on day trips. Care Assistant duties therefore vary substantially from client to client so that no two shifts are the same.
Responsibilities
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will be an essential member of the healthcare team, providing compassionate support to patients in various settings, including care homes and home care environments. Reporting to the nursing staff, your core responsibilities will include assisting with daily living activities and implementing care plans tailored to individual needs. Your premium skills in driving and communication will enhance patient engagement, while your relevant IT and English skills will ensure accurate documentation and effective interaction.
Qualifications
- At least 3 months paid experience within a UK Care setting.
- Right to work within the UK.
- Mandatory training for the role (to be completed on the app).
- Enhanced DBS, Live register (required or willing to apply).
- Relevant IT and English skills, and basic driving skills.
