Abrams & Chronicle Books is the UK distribution arm of two renowned US publishing houses: ABRAMS in New York and Chronicle Books in San Francisco. Based in City of London, we represent a broad and award-winning range of books, gifts, games and stationery.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven and organised individual to join our growing sales team as Export Gift Sales Manager. This role focuses on sales into gift accounts across Europe, including France, Benelux, Eastern Europe and Italy. You’ll develop sales strategies for key accounts while providing excellent service: processing and following up on orders, managing customer mailings, handling queries and completing administrative tasks efficiently. The role also involves travel to your territories which makes it ideal for someone who enjoys visiting customers and strengthening relationships in the market.

The publishers we represent include: Abrams, Chronicle Books, Galison, Mudpuppy, Ridley’s, Brass Monkey, Petit Collage, Batsford, Magic Cat, Flying Eye and the V&A with licenses such as Liberty, LEGO, Andy Warhol, Studio Ghibli, William Morris and more.
Key Responsibilities- Overarching responsibility for developing and implementing the sales strategy for GIFT sales in France, Benelux, Eastern Europe, Italy, Middle East, Africa
- Maintaining and building relationships with existing and new customers across the territories
- Timely processing of orders and attend to queries from customers, incl. stock review, order confirmation, invoice and delivery queries
- Coordinating a clear flow of accurate and relevant information to customers (newsletters, sell-sheets, samples, images, data, information and other essential documents)
- Provide regular call reports
- Attending and helping to organise Trade Shows
- Attend online and in-person sales conferences for seasonal presentations
- Other duties as directed by the Director of UK & Export Sales
- 25 days holiday per year, rising to 30 after five years
