Salary: From £32,000 per annum, depending on experience
Location: London (hybrid working – minimum 3 days in the office
Reports to: Gift & Special Sales Director
Abrams & Chronicle Books is the UK sales arm of two renowned US publishing houses: ABRAMS in New York and Chronicle Books in San Francisco. Based near Smithfield Market in London, we represent a broad and award-winning range of books, gifts, games and stationery.
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and organised individual to join our dynamic sales team on a full-time basis as Gift & Special Sales Manager (maternity cover). The Gift & Special Sales Manager role focuses on nurturing and growing our relationships with key gift accounts, online accounts and the A&CB website. Working closely with the Gift & Special Sales Director, sales team and our publishing partners, you will ensure that our book and gift products receive strong representation and support in the market. This position is perfect for someone who has experience selling to specialist accounts in the UK market, thrives in a fast-paced, varied environment and enjoys being part of a proactive, successful team.
The publishers we represent include: Abrams, Chronicle Books, Galison, Mudpuppy, Ridley’s, Brass Monkey, Petit Collage, Batsford, Magic Cat, Flying Eye and the V&A with licenses such as Liberty, LEGO, Andy Warhol, Studio Ghibli, William Morris and more.
Key Responsibilities
- Together with the Gift & Special Sales Director, formulate and execute sales strategies for your account base
- Developing sales key accounts and specialistaccounts
- Growing and maintaining online accounts and A&CB website
- Create and deliver engaging presentations across our book and gift portfolios
- Working alongside the Gift & Special Sales Director to organise gift trade shows
- Collaborate with the Marketing & Publicity team to deliver comprehensive support for relevant accounts.
- Engage in internal and external meetings
- Ensure new business accounts are contacted and followed up
- 25 days holiday per year, rising to 30 after five years
