We are currently seeking an enthusiastic IT Technician to join our team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to start their career in IT within an educational environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide first‑line hardware, software and peripheral support to all staff, students, third‑party visitors and Governors.
- Complete helpdesk incident and problem requests in line with internal policies and procedures, ensuring compliance at all times.
- Take reactive support of all user‑operated IT and proactive support of AV equipment, ensuring that downtime through consumable life expectancy is kept to a minimum.
Qualifications
- GCSE (including A* level) with C in Maths and English Language and an ICT‑related subject – essential.
- Basic understanding of computer systems and networks (training will be provided).
- Good problem‑solving skills and willingness to learn new technologies.
- Ability to communicate clearly with staff and students who may not have technical knowledge.
- Organised approach to managing tasks and prioritising work.
Experience
- Educated to degree level within an ICT‑related subject – desirable.
