A success story in the tech-services sector has retained ABPM to recruit a hands-on Group Financial Controller to lead, guide and develop the finance team. This role will ensure group financial accounting compliance is delivered in line with corporate and group requirements, and the production of group management accounts is provided to generate insights for decision-making for short-term to long-term planning for both the UK and international subsidiaries.
Reporting to the Group CFO, this is an ideal opportunity for a qualified accountant wishing to develop their career in a growing and acquisitive group in preparation for one day becoming a Group Finance Director or CFO. An excellent role for a proactive, results-oriented leader to drive financial performance and commercial focus.
An insight into a range of your duties:
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the Group Finance department.
- Responsible for the UK group finance team and other overseas finance teams.
- Prepare and present monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and forecasts.
- Facilitate group budget process in line with business plans.
- Monitor and analyse performance against budget.
- Prepare VAT and corporate tax reporting.
- Monitor group cash balances and minimise transaction and financing costs.
- Oversee the supplier invoicing, payment process, and group payroll.
- Monitor and report on the working capital position.
- Support M&A activities.
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or ACMA) with proven experience, ideally in an international group. Additionally, it is taken that you will have a strong management accounting and controls background, with financial modelling and Excel skills.
Please note this role may require very occasional international travel.
