Role Definition
Working in a chilled environment, the mince room operator will ensure that targets are met and are regularly challenged and improved on. Delivering high standards of quality, ensuring product produced is to customer specification in line with critical control points, GMP and health and safety requirements. Paying special regard to:
- quality, cost control, yield and utilization
- health, safety and ethics
- product integrity
- labelling
- company, personal and food hygiene rules and legislation
Key Responsibilities
- Produce required products meeting company and customer standards to planned volume and schedule
- Ensure necessary replenishment requirements
- Ensure strict adherence to quality, food safety, hygiene, ethical, product labelling and allergen handling processes
- Follow traceability process and ensure product and labelling integrity at all times
- Drive necessary line efficiency through consistent and correct machine operation
- Keep and maintain appropriate records as required
- Ensure own familiarity with company policies and procedures, standards of operation and safe operating procedures
- Ensure consistent and timely attendance
- Provide flexibility to meet company operating requirements
- Provide pro-active and re-active verbal and written communication to team members, supervisors and managers
- Ensure all products are sourced and manufactured to the food safety and brand integrity requirements defined by our customers and BRC standards
Person Specifications
- Speaking, writing and understanding basic spoken and written English language (essential health and safety, traceability and quality control requirement)
- Basic numeracy skills
