Salary: Above National Apprenticeship Wage

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week Monday to Friday 8am - 4.30pm

About the Role:

As a Business Administration Apprentice at ABP Eatwell you will be given the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic office environment while working towards a nationally recognised qualification. You will provide essential administrative support across the business, with a particular focus on Human Resources (HR) and Health & Safety (H&S).

With ongoing support from Day 1, the team will be offering guidance and support with completing your Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship which will be underpinned with opportunities to apply your learning to your role - Giving you the key knowledge, as well as helping to develop the skills required to perform to the best.

Throughout your programme, you'll work towards completing a variety of tasks and taking ownership for a number of areas including:

  • General Administration: Assist with day-to-day office tasks including filing, data entry, and document management. Answer telephone calls and emails, directing queries appropriately. Maintain accurate records and update internal systems.
  • HR Support: Support the onboarding process for new starters, including preparing induction packs and scheduling training. Help maintain employee records and ensure confidentiality. Assist with recruitment administration such as posting job adverts and arranging interviews. Support the coordination of staff training and development activities.
  • Health & Safety Support: Help maintain H&S documentation, including risk assessments and incident logs. Assist in organising H&S training and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. Support the monitoring of workplace safety checks and audits. Promote a safe working environment by helping to communicate H&S policies and procedures.

All of this may sound a little daunting but full training and support will be provided.

The Ideal Candidate - Skills/Experiences:

  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs, with a Grade C/4 or above in Maths and English.
  • No formal experience is required as full training will be given. However, we are looking for an individual who is keen to learn, can manage their time well, and is looking to continually develop their skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to take direction.
  • Focus on attention to detail and maintaining high standards.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel, to a competent level.
