Senior Test Technician

This is a full-time on-site role as a Test Technician to assist with the inspection and test of electrical and electronic assemblies, final test, after sales warranty/repair and offsite installations for ABP’s Ministry of Defence and commercial customers.

Requirements

1. Inspection and test of electronic assemblies to IPC-A-610 standards.
2. Inspection and test of electrical sub-assemblies to IPC-A-620 standards.
3. Inspection and test of electro-mechanical sub-assemblies to supplied drawings.
4. To provide test and product support for production activities with a ‘hands on approach’, to include initial commissioning, factory and site acceptance tests.
5. Working with Test and Electronics Team to manage proprietary test equipment calibration.
6. To assist Goods Inward inspection department as required.
7. Working from engineering documentation and establishing methods of manufacture with engineering.
8. Working on customer premises (UK and overseas) from time to time.
9. Accurate completion of documentation.
10. To assist with aftersales warranty/repair and to carry out full surveys and report on returned customer equipment.
11. Maintain QA records including calibration of test equipment, soldering irons and ESD control measures.
12. To assist the training of new test technicians on ABP products and mentoring work experience students.
