Process Operator - AD Plant

£30,463.80 per annum

Plus Pension, BUPA Cash Plan, Life Assurance, 20 Days’ Leave Per Annum + Bank Holidays (rising with service)

4 on 4 off shift pattern, 7am - 7pm

Olleco is a market leader within the recycling and renewable energy sector employing over 700 people across 15+ sites in the UK. We’re looking for a Process Operator to help us keep our state-of-the-art Anaerobic Digestion plant online and running efficiently, processing circa 1,000 tonnes of food waste per week.

This is a varied and exciting role, giving the employee an opportunity to develop technical skills and knowledge alongside performing their day-to-day duties. Primarily, you’ll ensure the feed stock is tipped safely by delivery vehicles and processed effectively through the plants systems. You will also assist the sites Engineering Team with their maintenance tasks, repairs and projects when required.

A little bit more about the role:

  • Ensure that tasks are completed in line with health and safety requirements
  • Ensure the feed stock is tipped safely
  • Take a hands-on approach to the role, processing feed stock through the plant system
  • Work with the Maintenance Technicians to co-ordinate planned and corrective maintenance activities
  • Support the continuous improvement of the facility
  • Assist with any projects

Qualifications

  • Previous experience of working on a mobile plant desirable but not essential
  • Experience in an industrial related field, ideally anaerobic digestion or waste recycling desirable but not essential
  • High SHEQ standards and sound knowledge of safety practices

We’re also eager to hear from you if you have worked in chemical manufacturing, the water industry or any industry with an emphasis on the use of pressure vessels, tanks, pipes and pumps.
