The predicted salary is between 29700 - 36300 £ per year.

  • To report to the Technical Manager on overall conformance with the Company’s Assurance objectives.
  • To act in a conscientious manner putting the Company interests first and encouraging others to do so
  • To be able to communicate with superiors and subordinates
  • To report to the Technical Manager on any breakdown or failure in the Quality Control procedures resulting in failure to meet specification or food safety
  • To carry out thorough & detailed compliance checks on a daily basis within each factory department and report any non-conformances directly to managers and supervisors
  • To conduct internal auditing of Glass & Hard Plastic, Maintenance, GMP, Locker checks, Paperwork audits and staff handwashing as per the defined schedule
  • To collect DNA Swabs twice a week and send to IDENTIGEN via TNT / FEDEX.
  • To take and monitor temperatures on a daily basis
  • To take and monitor air temperature on a daily basis
  • To conduct weekly data logger test on offals and beef in chills
  • To file and store all quality management paperwork for easy retrieval in audit situation
  • To do pre operation hygiene in the abattoir & boning hall on a daily basis
  • To take & collate micro samples (carcase swabs, water samples, environmental swabs, meat samples, shelf life samples) for sending to the lab and submit via the lab portal and that the results are printed, inspecte- d and trended appropriately.
  • Verification of all probes & thermometers on a monthly basis
  • To conduct site PACCP PH testing on a daily basis in chills and cutting room
  • Internal auditing of Quality Assurance Manual, Operational Procedure Manual, BRC System, HACCP, Factory Fabric, Cleaning and Hygiene as per schedule.
  • To verify compliance and completion of factory quality paperwork.
  • To Maintain site calibration certification via the calibration register and organise for equipment to be calibrated when due.
  • To help complete traceability exercises as and when required by customers and to the internal schedule
  • To ensure that any non conformances raised during internal, third party, OV and group audits are actioned within the agreed timescale.
  • To ensure that the site suppliers and service providers list is maintained within the three yearly approval cycle and that new suppliers are approved in a timely manner.
  • To complete and action off any customer complaints received in a timely manner.
  • To look for root cause of the complaint, where details supplied allow this.
  • Issuing, rescinding and verification of quality documentation to be used on site.
  • Ensuring that food safety practices are incorporated in daily production of products
  • Ensuring all daily production checks and record sheets/ QA sheets are completed properly within required time frame
  • Auditing product and ensuring product specification (includes carry out duties according to the company HACCP plan)
  • Calculate and record information, either manually or through computerised data entry, carrying out associated administration & filing.
  • To ensure internal audits carried out against audit schedule are accurate and on time
  • Be involved with onsite customer and third party auditors
  • Provide Technical support were required e. g. visits, audits, trials etc
  • Carry out any Other reasonable requests by the management team and to provide support to the Technical Manager upon request.
