Job Role
We require Hygiene Operatives to work in our Newry Site.
Working from 3pm, Monday to Thursday, and 1pm Friday until finish, this roles requires flexibility and a willingness to work additional hours when required.
Working with the Hygiene team to complete the daily hygiene to a high standard.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensuring all the equipment in the factory (machinery, belts, etc.) are cleaned to the high standard - full training and PPE will be provided.
- To adhere to safe working practices in accordance with legislation and company rules and regulations.
- Promptly report any accidents, incidents or near misses to your manager or supervisor.
- Report to your Manager/Supervisor of the area concerned any maintenance requirements.
- To work in a manner as to prevent or minimize the risk of accidents.
- To adhere to current legislation with regards to safe food production.
- To comply with manages/supervisors instructions in a timely manner.
- To ensure full understanding of all instructions given and ask for clarification if necessary.
- To be responsible for the security and effective use of consumables during day-to-day activities.
- To undertake such other reasonable duties as may from time to time be required.
- Carry out out all duties with respect for Health and Safety and housekeeping standards and regulations.
- Observe Company Policy on flexibility by moving to any other job necessary.
- Undertake training/retraining and train other employees as required.
- Undertake Chemical training at ABP Newry.
- Observe Company philosophy on proposals and continuous improvement for the betterment of plant, methods, working environment and efficiency.
- Observe and adhere to the Company's Equal Opportunities Policy, ensuring that a neutral environment is maintained.
