Responsibilities
- Participate in engineering focused activities in support of manufacturing plant and equipment performance KPIs.
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects.
- Support site technical issue resolution and completion of improvement actions through good engineering practices and guidance.
- Identify and share best practice and contribute to raising awareness, improving performance and transitioning to a proactive engineering culture.
- Team working on site development projects.
- Ensure high standards of engineering workmanship across the site.
- Contribute to the development of existing and new standards for key items of equipment and facilities.
- Lead high standards of safety practices across the business.
- Completion of reactive maintenance work when machinery breaks down to ensure impact to line efficiencies is minimised.
- Carrying out preventative maintenance, working to schedule.
Qualifications
- Background involving maintenance of a busy production line involving both mechanical and electrical machinery.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to take direction.
- BTEC / ONC level or equivalent qualification in either a mechanical or electrical discipline.
- Ability to challenge others in a professional and constructive manner.
- Understanding of site KPIs and how these are calculated.
- Self‑motivated with a positive outlook.
- Ability to communicate clearly with others in English, including ability to write in English.
- Demonstrate a proactive manner whilst being an effective team worker.
