Role Definition
This position will offer the successful candidate an opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge to produce product safely and efficiently. This key role in the business could be a stepping stone for future progression into quality and operations management roles. A key member of the PC team completing appropriate technical records within the production environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- To ensure the integrity of our products, customers and brands is always maintained
- Minimum, average and catch weight checks
- Metal/x-ray detection
- Packaging tare checks
- Temperature monitoring checks
- Gas checks
- Scale checks
- Label checks and traceability
- Seal integrity check
- Quality checks
- Report non-conformances to management
Qualifications, Experience and Personal Qualities:
- The ideal candidate will demonstrate an excellent standard of hygiene and will have been accredited to Level 2 Food Safety.
- Will enjoy a challenging role and be ideally suited to a highly detailed environment.
- The candidate should have good interpersonal skills and the ability to learn quickly.
- The ideal candidate will be flexible, able to work/cope under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Should be a good team player, friendly and reliable.
- Where appropriate, good knife skills.
- Can use initiative, has the courage to challenge with a drive on job completion and performance.
