About the Role

• Based in our studio in Shoreditch, London
• Paid as a daily rate

We are looking for a skilled, multi-product Menswear Garment Technologist to join our growing team on a part-time basis.

You will be working closely with the Design Lead and the wider team, from development spec through to final production.

You will be expected to maintain a close working relationship across our supply chain to deliver good fit and quality and solve any issues that arise.

You will be expected to be on top of the critical path and the deadlines tied to that, communicating effectively with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure critical path is maintained, and any delays are highlighted proactively to the team.
  • Work with the Design Lead to create development specs against tech packs.
  • Measure all samples in a timely manner, and clearly relay any discrepancies back to the factory.
  • Lead weekly fit sessions on a live model, helping the team to make the best decisions for manufacturing, construction methods, and fit.
  • Dictate clear and precise fit comments for the factories, to ensure sampling success rate.
  • Update workbooks accurately with notes and comments after each fit session.
  • Have a strong understanding of grading and pattern knowledge.
  • Maintain and develop block library.
  • Review test reports and customer feedback.
  • Grow technical quality with the brand growth to maintain customer retention and brand reputation.
  • Be confident in decision-making and understand the importance of commercial elements in your decision-making.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years experience as a Garment Technologist
  • Good premium fabric knowledge
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
