ABOUT THE ROLE
As part of the Operations team, this Customer Engineer role will be responsible for providing assistance to our customers. You will diagnose and troubleshoot software problems and help our customers to install applications and programs, by assisting people with computer issues and being able to explain technical details.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Technical Consulting & Support: Provide consulting, specification, installation, configuration, user assistance, training, and helpdesk support for Lantek System Software Suite, Database servers & Integrations with external systems (ERP, MRP, accounting, etc.).
  • Collaboration & Communication: Proactively collaborate with team members to resolve technical issues, gather product feedback, and maintain productive internal and external customer relationships.
  • Customisation & Development: Research, specify, develop, and maintain small product customisations and associated updates. Define and document solution requirements and customisations in alignment with customer needs.
  • Project Support: Deliver support and implementation for small to medium-sized customer projects. Contribute to the implementation phases of larger customer projects as part of a wider team.
  • Customer Interaction: Create detailed specifications based on customer requirements. Provide training and ongoing support to customers throughout the solution lifecycle.

WHAT SHOULD YOU BRING ALONG?

  • Native English Speaker. Knowledge of Spanish, German, French, or other languages is a plus.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to understand and evaluate customer expectations.
  • Customer-oriented approach.
  • Goal-oriented work within the framework of project implementation.
  • Willingness to travel.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Technical background, preferably Computer Engineering or IT field.
  • Experience in technical projects involving software in an industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of Lantek systems would be desirable.
  • Experience working with ERP systems and a solid understanding of the associated business processes.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft environments, including Windows, IIS, SQL Server, and the Office/Office 365 suite; Azure knowledge is advantageous.
  • Experience in programming (e.g., C++, C#, HTML, XML) is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with reporting tools such as Crystal Reports or Stimulsoft.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes within the sheet metal working industry is beneficial.
