Early Intervention Specialist – Chester/Lancaster

Join About Play, LLC as an Early Intervention Specialist and make a positive difference in the lives of children and families in South Carolina.

About Play is looking for an Early Interventionist to serve in the following areas and counties:

  • York
  • Rock Hill, Fort Mill, Chester, Lancaster, Wylie, Clover

We are seeking energetic, creative, motivated professionals with great time management and organizational skills. Prior early interventionist or early child development experience is preferred, but recent college graduates with a related degree are welcome with on‑the‑job training.

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Family & Consumer Science, or related field plus at least 1 year of documented experience working with children birth to six years old.
  • Or Bachelor’s degree in any field and 5 years of documented experience with infants, toddlers, or children age birth to 5 years with disabilities.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide family‑centered early intervention services to families with infants and toddlers with developmental delays or disabilities.
  • Perform family training with caregivers and children in their home, daycare, or natural environment setting.
  • Provide training, education, and support to families in child development, parenting, and family functioning.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote child development.
  • Monitor the progress of the child and family.

Job Type: Full‐time

Salary: Base salary of $40,000 per year with mileage reimbursement ($0.45 per mile up to a $565 monthly cap). Total compensation could reach $46,780 annually.

Experience:

  • Driver\’s license required and reliable car.
  • CPR, First Aid, and AED certification (Heartsaver, Infant & Child) preferred.

Willingness to travel: 50‑75% required.
