The predicted salary is between 14 - 15 £ per hour.

We are seeking passionate and dedicated Nursery Assistants who hold relevant Level 3 Qualifications in order to support within a Nursery setting. We currently support a private nursery within the centre of Stafford who are seeking an experienced, compassionate and dedicated Nursery Assistant. You will be required to provide consistent, high-quality care for each and every child. This role can be as flexible as you wish and can be adaptable to your lifestyle and commitments.

Responsibilities of a Nursery Assistant:

  • Working alongside teachers and Nursery Assistants to deliver EYFS activities and lessons which support both the academic & personal growth of all children.
  • Consistently providing exceptional standards of care to all children.
  • Support children's early literacy, numeracy, communication and personal development on a daily basis.
  • Encourage growth and independence by supporting children in daily tasks which promote independence and positive behaviour.

To be considered for this role, applicants who apply must have:

  • A minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years/Childcare (or equivalent).
  • A strong level of literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE English and Maths Grade 4 or Grade C and above/Functional Skills Level 2 in the minimum required).
  • Previous experience working with young children whether this is in a nursery or primary school setting.
  • A strong understanding of the EYFS framework.
  • Paediatric First Aid (or be willing to work towards).

Pay £14.24 – £15 an hour, holiday pay is included in the day rate. Academics is committed to safe recruitment practices, as well as safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of children and young people. All applicants are expected to uphold this commitment. Placements are subject to safeguarding and child protection checks in accordance with DfE policies, including verification of the right to work, employment references, and an enhanced DBS check.
