Position: Early Years Supply Teacher / EYFS Supply Teacher

Location: Rotherham, South Yorkshire

Contract: Temporary, ongoing flexible supply

Pay: £130 - £190 per day (paid via PAYE - no umbrella company fees)

About the Role

As an Early Years Supply Teacher in Rotherham, you will deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons within Nursery and Reception settings. You will play a key role in supporting children aged 3-5 as they develop essential early learning skills, confidence and independence within a safe and nurturing environment.

To work within Nursery or Preschool settings, Early Years Supply Teacher Status (EYTS) is typically required. To teach Reception within a primary school, Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, play-based learning in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Support children's social, emotional and communication development.
  • Monitor and record progress using EYFS assessment methods.
  • Create a safe, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Work collaboratively with Early Years staff and parents.
  • Follow safeguarding and welfare policies at all times.

Candidate Requirements

  • EYTS or QTS (Early Years specialism desirable).
  • Recent experience within Nursery or Reception settings.
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum.
  • Caring, patient and enthusiastic approach.
