We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join a lovely nursery in Caversham. About the Role
- Provide a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for children, adhering to room ratios and policies
- Support children’s learning and development through play-based activities
- Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Observe, assess, and record children’s progress, ensuring detailed, quality record keeping
- Work as part of a positive and professional nursery team, providing an active involvement in staff meetings
- Ensure safeguarding and welfare standards are always maintained, completing risk assessments, hazard logs and documentation as required
- Oversee the settling in of new children, liaising closely with caregivers and fellow staff members to ensure a smooth transition
Requirements
- Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification – this is essential
- Good understanding of the EYFS framework
- Previous nursery or childcare experience
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Paediatric First Aid qualification desirable but not essential
