The predicted salary is between 15 - 15 £ per hour.

Rotherwood Education are currently recruiting for an experienced and dedicated Nursery Manager to join a well-established and supportive nursery setting in the Preston area. The role is full-time, working 40 hours per week over a 4-day working week, and is available to start as soon as possible on a temporary to permanent basis.

Position Details:

  • Location: Preston, Lancashire
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Contract Type: Full-Time, Temp to Perm
  • Hours: 40 Hours per Week (4-Day Working Week)
  • Hourly Rate: £15.00 per hour (higher rates may be considered for candidates with a significant commute)

About the Role:

  • Lead the day-to-day management and operation of the nursery.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality care, learning and development opportunities for all children.
  • Manage, support and motivate nursery staff, promoting a positive and professional working environment.
  • Oversee planning, observations and assessments in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • Maintain a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment for children, staff and families.
  • Ensure the nursery remains compliant with all safeguarding, health and safety, and Ofsted requirements.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with parents, carers and external agencies.
  • Manage nursery occupancy, staffing levels and daily operations effectively.
  • Monitor standards across the setting and implement improvements where required.
  • Promote the nursery's ethos and contribute to its continued growth and success.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold a Level 3 Early Years qualification as a minimum (higher-level qualifications are desirable).
  • Have previous experience working in a Nursery Manager, Deputy Manager or senior leadership role within an early years setting.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the EYFS framework and Ofsted requirements.
  • Have excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills.
  • Be passionate about providing outstanding care and education for young children.
  • Have experience supporting and developing nursery staff.
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Provide details of the latest two references covering the last five years' employment history.
  • Possess a current DBS certificate on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one as part of the registration process.
  • Be willing to complete a face-to-face registration and satisfy all compliance checks.
