Position: Nursery Manager

Qualifications: Level 3 Early Years qualification, Paediatric First Aid certificate.
Randstad Education is looking for a dynamic, qualified professional to step into the role of Nursery Manager. With a highly supportive leadership team, a robust onboarding structure, and a clear path for professional development, we will provide you with all the tools and backing you need to succeed as a leader. This is a full-time permanent position and you will be required to support five days a week Monday - Friday inline with school hours.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day nursery running and ensure strict Ofsted compliance.
- Manage, mentor, and inspire staff while fostering a collaborative team.
- Act as DSL to maintain a safe, nurturing environment for all children.
- Oversee EYFS implementation to provide engaging, high-quality learning.
- Build strong, trusting partnerships with parents and the local community.
- Liaise with admin and finance teams to manage occupancy and budgets.
Preferred skills:
- Deep knowledge of child development, EYFS, and Ofsted requirements.
- Proven ability to motivate, lead, and develop a diverse staff.
- Highly organised in managing schedules, rotas, and daily occupancy.
- Paediatric First Aid certified with calm crisis-management skills.
- Strong communication skills to handle sensitive conversations diplomatically.
- Basic understanding of budgeting and nursery resource management.
- At least 2 years of post-qualification experience in a leadership role.
- Must be DSL (Designated Safeguarding Lead) qualified and hold a Current Paediatric First Aid certificate.
