A fabulous primary school in the London Borough of Barnet is looking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Nursery Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team from the May half-term. This is a full-time, term-time only opportunity, working Monday to Friday from 8:15am to 3:45pm. The successful candidate must be available to commit for the remainder of the academic year, with a strong possibility of the position continuing into September 2026.
The school is seeking a proactive EYFS Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting young children during these crucial early stages of development. You will be working closely with an experienced Nursery Teacher and wider Early Years staff team to help create an engaging, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Supporting children within the Nursery classroom on a daily basis
- Assisting with the delivery of creative and engaging EYFS activities
- Promoting positive behaviour, communication, and social interaction
- Providing targeted support for pupils' learning and development
- Working collaboratively with teaching staff and support colleagues
- Helping to maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive Early Years setting
- Previous experience working within a Nursery or Early Years setting
- Good knowledge and understanding of the EYFS curriculum
