As an Early Years Practitioner, you will play an important role in supporting the development and learning of children in the Early Years setting. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting children's learning through play-based activities
- Assisting the class teacher with the planning and delivery of engaging EYFS provision
- Supporting language development, early literacy, and numeracy
- Observing children's progress and contributing to assessments and learning journals
- Helping to maintain a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment
- Encouraging children's social, emotional, and behavioural development
- Working collaboratively with the EYFS team and communicating effectively with parents where required
To be considered for this role, you must hold a full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification recognised in England. Accepted qualifications include:
- Level 3 Diploma in Early Years Education and Care (Early Years Educator)
- Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator)
- NVQ Level 3 in Children's Care, Learning and Development
- BTEC National Diploma in Children's Care, Learning and Development
- CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education
- CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce
- T Level in Education and Early Years
- Level 3 Diploma in Montessori Pedagogy (Birth to Seven)
You should also have:
- Experience working in an Early Years setting such as a nursery, preschool, or reception class
- A strong understanding of the EYFS framework
- A nurturing and patient approach when working with young children
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A commitment to supporting children's development and wellbeing
