Our client has a newly created position for a Paralegal to join their Care Proceedings and Adoption team based in Kettering. Working in a small, highly experienced Childcare team the ideal candidate will bring previous Childcare and Legal Aid experience to the team and have excellent client facing skills with a demonstrable passion for Childcare work.

Acting for family members, friends and foster carers, you will be exposed to a wide range of Childcare issues including guiding clients on pre‑proceedings meeting and Emergency Protection Orders, placement orders and the care case itself. We are looking for candidates with strong administration skills.

Your role will include:

  • Drafting paperwork
  • Preparing court bundles
  • Billing clients
  • Dealing with telephone calls into the team
  • Attending Public Law Outline meetings
