Qualifications: Level 3 Early Years qualification, Paediatric First Aid certificate.

Randstad Education is looking for a dynamic, qualified professional to step into the role of Nursery Manager. With a highly supportive leadership team, a robust onboarding structure, and a clear path for professional development, we will provide you with all the tools and backing you need to succeed as a leader. This is a full-time permanent position and you will be required to support five days a week, Monday - Friday in line with school hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day nursery running and ensure strict Ofsted compliance.
  • Manage, mentor, and inspire staff while fostering a collaborative team.
  • Act as DSL to maintain a safe, nurturing environment for all children.
  • Oversee EYFS implementation to provide engaging, high-quality learning.
  • Build strong, trusting partnerships with parents and the local community.
  • Liaise with admin and finance teams to manage occupancy and budgets.

Preferred skills:

  • Deep knowledge of child development, EYFS, and Ofsted requirements.
  • Proven ability to motivate, lead, and develop a diverse staff.
  • Highly organised in managing schedules, rotas, and daily occupancy.
  • Paediatric First Aid certified with calm crisis-management skills.
  • Strong communication skills to handle sensitive conversations diplomatically.
  • Basic understanding of budgeting and nursery resource management.
  • At least 2 years of post-qualification experience in a leadership role.
  • Must be DSL (Designated Safeguarding Lead) qualified and hold a current Paediatric First Aid certificate.

Please note that this role is unable to offer any Sponsorship at this time. All candidates will be subject to Randstad Education's child protection and UK eligibility vetting including a DBS check and providing satisfactory references.
