Are you a dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant looking for rewarding work across Doncaster schools and nurseries? Academics are currently supporting a range of welcoming primary schools and early years settings throughout Doncaster who are seeking qualified Early Years Teaching Assistants to join them on a temporary, ongoing supply basis.

Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire

Contract: Temporary, flexible ongoing supply

Pay: £92.56 - £95 per day (paid via PAYE - no umbrella company fees)

Start Date: ASAP or a start date that suits you

About the Role

As an Early Years Teaching Assistant in Doncaster, you will support children within Nursery and Reception classes, helping them develop socially, emotionally, and academically through engaging early years activities. You will work alongside class teachers and EYFS practitioners to deliver a stimulating learning environment where children feel safe, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential. This role is perfect for candidates who enjoy working with young children and are looking to gain experience across a variety of early years settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support children within Nursery and Reception classrooms
  • Assist with the delivery of EYFS-based activities and learning experiences
  • Provide individual and small group support

  • Support classroom organisation and preparation of resources
  • Follow safeguarding procedures and school policies

Candidate Requirements

  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant, Childcare or Early Years qualification (essential)
  • Previous experience within an early years setting desirable
  • Understanding of the EYFS curriculum and child development
  • Positive, nurturing and reliable approach
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
