Prospero Teaching are seeking a reliable and compassionate Night-Time Child Officer to support a nurturing residential or educational setting in Chelmsford, starting ASAP. This role is ideal for someone experienced in childcare, safeguarding, or pastoral support who is confident working independently during night hours and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children overnight. - Minimum rate of pay - £115-£150 per day (depending on experience)
- Hours - Night shifts (exact hours vary by setting)
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare qualification (or equivalent)
- Experience working with children in a school, residential, or childcare environment
- Understanding of safeguarding, supervision, and overnight care routines
- Up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable)
- Ability to remain alert, calm, and responsive during night hours
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
- Provide two professional child-related references
